WHO WE ARE

JBMP has maintained a consistent set of principles as the firm has grown and changed over the years, build a firm classically trained yet innovative staff, consider Interior Design and Architecture as integral to each other; excel at the business of managing our clients projects as well as their expectations. JBMP strives to further hone exacting standards, creating architectural solutions that enable our clients to realize their personal visions in new and unexpected ways, dramatically enhancing their environments.

Since joining JBMP, Cormac has overseen many residential & commercial projects in Fairfield and Westchester Counties, New York City and Sydney, Australia. Specializing in waterfront projects, Cormac has successfully navigated the complicated approvals process while having the privilege to work on some of the most spectacular coastal properties in the Northeast. Since 2006, Cormac has served as a Principal and business manager at JBMP, while maintaining his role in the office as a designer and overseeing many of our premier projects. Cormac earned his diploma in Architectural Technology at Bolton Street College of Technology in Dublin, Ireland. After several years working in London and southern Florida, he has now settled in Fairfield County with his family.

James Margeotes, AIA

Principal

A graduate of Pratt Institute in 1985, Jim received his architectural license in 1988. As a student he worked in the office of international modernist Paul Rudolph and continued to work there for 2 years thereafter. Jim sees these years as his most formative and had the opportunity to work  directly under Mr. Rudolph who had downscaled his practice to five architects at that time. Upon leaving the office Jim worked at the offices of Thierry Despont and Haverson Rockwell and began practicing as a sole proprietor in 1988. The work consisted of many residential projects in Westchester County from until 1996, when Jim joined the firm of Lorie Jones in Greenwich, CT. The firm was purchased from Lorie in 2004 and JBMP was formed. After 30 plus years practicing architecture the satisfaction of having projects of any type built is what drives him.

“My favorite project is the one I’m working on, large or small because you bring to it what was learned on previous projects cumulatively.”

Kristen Rinaldi, ASID, Assoc AIA

Partner

After earning both her Architectural and Interior Design degree’s, Kristen Rinaldi founded her own design firm, and ran a highly successful business in New York City for over 14 years. In an intensely competitive market, her company specializing in restaurant design, more specifically kitchen consulting, Kristen was noted as one of the nations top Kitchen Designers.

Upon moving to Connecticut, Kristen also moved on professionally to pursue a more diverse career in the design field and is now currently the Director of Architectural Interiors at Jones Byrne Margeotes Partners. In addition to her design initiative, where most designers focus primarily on furnishing and décor, in part of her Architectural degree, Kristen takes a different approach and focuses more on the ‘envelope’ and the architectural details to achieve a more undivided look, which reaches a longer lasting effect that will stand the test of time. Important undertakings within her career are continuing education and maintaining active memberships in the A.I.A, A.S.I.D, and N.K.B.A.
